Be the Basketball Writing Prompt

My family watches many types of sports. During almost every basketball game, I wonder what it would be like to be that poor basketball. It's dribbled, passed, knocked away, scooped, bounced off of a backboard, dunked, rolls around the basket rim, you name it. One never knows where the ball is going to be next. In other sports, it's pretty predictable what is going to happen to the ball. But not basketball. So I thought the following prompt would be fun even if you aren't a basketball enthusiast:
